Sorting Books

It is a real team effort when it comes to returning the reading books to the resource room. First each child sorts their own books into the correct colour piles and then groups of 5 or 6 put all the same titles together and bundle them up. Then a kind parent comes along and returns them into the correct boxes back in the resource room. Many hands make light work!

Team Work

The Sumner School SURFER value Unity was working well last Friday during Discovery when we got the parachute out. Thanks Vicki we really appreciate your help.

Joan Miro Art

If you are looking for a way to brighten up a dull cloakroom space try researching the artist Joan Miro. This is what Room 5 came up with.

Inquiry rotation

The Year 1 and 2 Team did a rotation as part of their Inquiry Unit this term. The countries they looked at were The Cook Islands, Africa, Brazil and Japan.

Buddies

We are lucky to have our buddies each Tuesday for 30 minutes. They help us with all sorts of things. Last week it was a sunny day so we got out the skipping ropes. We improved a lot but I think we still need some more practise.
