Visit to the beach

We took advantage of a lovely morning and headed off down to the beach last Wednesday morning. The purpose of the visit was to observe gulls in their natural environment. After encouraging them with some bread there were soon plenty of birds there to watch. We got back to school with plenty of good information to use in our writing.

Strike Percussion Group

Sumner was lucky enough to have three members of the group Strike perform at school today. This is some writing from Leah and Izzy about the concert.

Mr T, Thomas the Tank Engine and Musaca played percussion instruments. They played the drums and the marimba. Their arms moved around a lot and they were outstanding. The whole school came to watch. First it was quiet and then it was loud. It made me dizzy, so dizzy.

Today the whole school went to the hall to watch a performance. They were called Strike. There were three men on the stage called Tim, Tomas and Mufasca. We clapped to the beat, it was fantastic! They were so clever and they could do it so fast it was amazing. Tim, Tomas and Mufasca did quiet fire song. It was just a miracle.
